A dental clinic at Colva was engulfed in flames on Saturday morning, destroying property worth lakhs of rupees.
The Margao Fire brigade which rushed to the spot brought the fire under control after over an hour-long fire fighting operation.
The fire is believed to have originated at the reception room, destroying furniture, computers and other items.
Fire Officer Gill Souza told the media that short circuit or electrical issues is the cause behind the fire.
To a question, he said that property worth around Rs 4-5 lakh have been gutted in the fire.
