Fire incident in city

A fire broke out at Marc Brown café in Panjim Residency building at 11.45 am on Friday causing damages of around Rs 80,000.

Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services informed that the fire originated in the electrical fryer at the café. The fire was extinguished using foam after an hour.

Smoke exhauster had to be used to clear out the dense smoke which filled in the outlet owing to lack of ventilation.

S G Gawas of Panaji Fire Station along with four other fire fighting personnel doused the fire.
