The Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao, on Thursday remanded all five accused to further custody in the murder of a suspected motorcycle thief.
While the three accused arrested earlier were remanded to judicial custody, the remaining two were remanded to five days’ police custody to assist the investigation. Maina-Curtorim police have so far arrested five persons in connection with the case. Police have also recovered the rope allegedly used by the mob to tie the theft suspect before assaulting him. Further investigation is in progress.
