Most of the idols of the Lord which were consecrated and installed in households in different parts of the State on Friday, 25 August, were immersed after paying obeisance to the Lord and conducting the final Pooja and Aaratis before embarking on the journey bidding adieu to the Lord.
One of the idols of Lord Ganesh which was worshipped at Margao police station was also immersed on Tuesday. The procession of immersion commenced from the police station and wound its way through the city before the immer
sion of the idol. The procession proceeded via State Bank of India, MMC, old railway gate, Kharebandh to the immersion site.
Hailing Lord Shree Ganesh, the procession was greeted along the route by devotees who sought blessings from the deity as also the ‘Prasad' before bidding final adieu to the five-day old Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in the State.
Likewise, idols of Lord Ganesh worshipped at different households in the city were also immersed on Tuesday.
