Chimbel Primary Health Centre (PHC) held an advocacy workshop on vector-borne diseases control programme at Our Lady of Merces High School hall on Wednesday.
Sanitary Inspector Kishor Arondekar explained about the advocacy workshop, cleanliness drive and intersectoral role of panchayats like pre-monsoon cleaning of drains.
Male health worker Dilip Satoskar spoke on different types of vector-borne diseases while Gautam Gauns spoke on method of disinfection.
St Cruz MLA Rudolf Fernandes and Chimbel ZP member Girish Uskaikar also spoke. Merces Sarpanch Geeta Kavlekar, panchas, representatives of builders, scrapyard owners, Mukhya Sevika, anganwadi workers, staff of Chimbel PHC and others were present.
Chimbel PHC medical officer Dr Jude D’Souza welcomed the gathering while Prasanna Malik proposed the vote of thanks.
