Emphasising that winds of change were blowing on the political front, former Tivim MLA Kiran Kandolkar on Saturday said the general mood among the electorate was for all opposition parties to come together and dethrone the present BJP-led government in the State.
He said he will soon begin meeting all BJP karyakartas who have been hurt or ignored by the party in bid to bring them on one platform.
“People want all opposition forces to join hands and show this much-maligned BJP-led government the exit door. We are working towards that. We have already finalised candidates in Tivim, Aldona, Pernem, Mandrem and Vasco,” said Kandolkar, while addressing a news conference in Mapusa.
He said he would work tirelessly towards the mission of bringing a change in Goa and won’t rest until this BJP-led government is sent home.
Kandolkar said he has worked with the BJP for the last several years and, therefore, knew how the leadership functions.
“There are deliberate attempts to drag my name in the recent matka raids carried out by police in Canca. My house in Canca was locked when police conducted the raids. I reside at my residence in Revora. But my name figured in reports on social media and newspapers at the behest of the Chief Minister and the BJP party president,” Kandolkar alleged.
He said the State BJP-led government behaves vindictively and harasses those who point out mistakes committed by the government.
“I will continue to expose this government about its misdeeds and shortcomings. I will openly point faults and wrongdoings happening in the government,” he warned.
He said no amount of harassment will deter him from revealing the deficiencies of this government.
