Forms under Mhaje Ghar Scheme distributed in Mayem, Bicholim

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant reiterated that the distribution of forms under the Mhaje Ghar Scheme marks a major step in the government’s land and housing reforms. He urged people to make use of the scheme’s benefits.

Sawant officially launched the Mhaje Ghar Yojana awareness campaign and began distributing application forms from the Mayem constituency. A similar form distribution event was later held in Bicholim.

The form distribution programmes were organised at V. P. Mayem, Vaiginim and at the Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Government Primary School 

in Bicholim.

Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade, MLA and Chairman of the Goa Horticulture Corporation Premendra Shet, Sarpanch of V. P. Mayem-Vaiginim Vasudeo Gaonkar, North Goa Zilla Panchayat Chairman Dhaku Madkaikar, ZP Members Shankar Chodankar and Mahesh Sawant, North Goa Collector Ankit Yadav (IAS), Deputy Collector Nehal Talaunekar, Mamlatdar Shailendra Desai and others were present.

The Chief Minister said the Mhaje Ghar scheme will help reduce disputes in villages. He added that the forms will soon be available at all panchayats and Deputy Collector offices.

Dr Sawant explained the scheme in detail and responded to villagers’ queries. He said nine different types of forms have been made available at the venues. He also informed that applicants will receive a house repair certificate within three days and a house separation certificate within seven days.
