PANAJI: The Health Department on Monday recorded four moreCovid-related deaths in the last 48 hours, taking Goa’s toll to148. Meanwhile, the State also recorded more recoveries thannew Covid-19 cases for the first time in many weeks.A total of 139 new Covid-19 cases and 437 recoveries havetaken the total active cases to 3,081. Out of these, 133 patientsare under home isolation. A total of 3,516 asymptomatic patientshave opted for home isolation till date.Total confirmed cases in the state have crossed 14,000-mark and stand at 14,138. Of these, a total of 10,909 personshave already recovered.The deceased persons include a 50-year-old man from MonteHill, Margao, who was brought dead at South Goa DistrictHospital in Margao on Monday, tested positive post mortem,a 67 year-old man from Vasco admitted at ESI Covid Hospitalwith comorbid conditions, who passed away on Sunday, a 50year-old man from Balli admitted at ESI Covid Hospital with comorbidity,who passed away on Monday and a 55 year-old manfrom Fatorda admitted at Goa Medical College and Hospital,Bambolim lost his battle with the infection on Sunday.
