Validity of MV papers extended till Dec 31
PANAJIOwing to the prevailing Covid-19 conditions across thecountry, the Ministry of RoadTransport and Highways hasdecided to extend the validityof Fitness, Permits, Licenses,Registration or other documentsunder Motor VehiclesAct, 1988 and Central MotorVehicle Rules, 1989 till 31 December.The Ministry had earlier issuedadvisories on 30 Marchand also on 9 June this yearregarding extension of validityof the documents related toMotor Vehicles Act, 1988 andCentral Motor Vehicle Rules,1989. It was advised that
thevalidity of Fitness, Permit (alltypes), License, Registrationor any other concerned document(s) may be treated to bevalid till 30 September 2020.Taking into considerationthe situation still continuingdue to conditions forprevention of spread ofCOVID-19 across the country,the ministry has furtheradvised that the validityof all of the above referreddocuments whose extensionof validity could not or notlikely be granted due to lockdownand which had expiredsince 1st of Feb, 2020 or wouldexpire by 31st Dec 2020, thesame may be treated to bevalid till 31st of December2020.
