In yet another legal setback to the Goa police vis-à-vis the desecration of places of religious worship, Margao Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao has discharged accused Francis Pereira in the Krishna Temple, Margao desecration case.
This is the fifth desecration case wherein the accused stands discharged by the court of Judicial Magistrate, Margao. Francis was earlier discharged in the Veroda Seven Temples case, Chandor Alma Khuris case, Calconda Cross desecration case and the Paroda Holy Cross shrine case.
The accused was present in the court when Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao Carlos Da Silva pronounced the order in the open court on Tuesday.
