From hospital to lockup, accused in bank dacoity gets 6-day remand



MAPUSA
One accused in the bank dacoity case at Verla-Canca who was injured after being assaulted by an irate mob was discharged from hospital and was sent to six days in police custody by a court in Mapusa.
It may be recalled that on December 8, Vijaykumar Das was assaulted by a mob after he along with other dacoits were fleeing away by robbing a bank at Verla-Canca.
Das was seriously injured and was admitted in District Hospital Mapusa.
Vijaykumar Das was discharged on Monday night and was produced before the JMFC Mapusa, who remanded him to six days in police custody.
Police are on the look
out for the other absconding accused in the bank
robbery.
