Gang flexes muscle again in Fatorda, minor assaulted

After a brief lull, gangs seemed again flexing their muscles in the jurisdiction of Fatorda police station.

In an incident that took place near the KTC bus stand before dawn on Friday, a group of five persons allegedly assaulted a minor boy over some previous enmity.

While police said that the incident took place near the kiosk, questions have come to the fore how come gaddas and kiosks are allowed to remain open till the wee hours of the day.

Fatorda police said that Shadaf Mulla, resident of Gogol, Margao, lodged his complaint that on May 29, 2026 at around 04.30 hours near KTC bus stand, Fatorda, accused persons namely Prakash @ Pakya, Shlok, Maifuz Sayyad, Sunil Bilwar, Akshay Talwar and others, with their common object formed an unlawful assembly and assaulted his minor brother with slaps and fist blows, thereby causing him simple injuries.

He further alleged that the accused also threatened him with dire consequences to cause harm, over the issue of previous enmity.

The Fatorda police has registered offence under Section 191(2), 115(2), 118(1), r/w 190 of BNS and Section 8 of Goa Children Act 2003.
