One person was arrested near the new Mapusa bus-stand after narcotic drug Ganja worth Rs 90,000 was found in his possession early Wednesday morning, Mapusa Police said.
The accused, Dilshad Shaikh, presently residing in Mapusa but a native of Bihar, has been apprehended.
Acting on specific information, a police team conducted a raid at the new bus terminus and caught the accused red-handed and seized 900 gms of Ganja worth Rs 90,0000.
A case has been registered against the accused under Section 20(b) (ii) (A) of the NDPS Act.
The police team was led by Mapusa PI Paresh Naik under supervision of SDPO Jivba Dalvi and SP North Nidhin Valsan.
