On Tuesday, the students had boycotted the classes demanding campus placement and to renew the contract of their faculties and to pay their pending salaries.
Sesa Goa Ltd had entered into a partnership with Goa Engineering College in 2012 till December 2016 to start the mining engineering department and the entire expenditure was met by the mining company. Now, GEC is bound to meet the expenditure.
