MARGAO
As part of the regional party’s commitment towards the future generations of Goa, the Goa Forward party has resolved to dedicate its actions and responsibilities in 2021 to the youth of Goa.
Calling 2021 as the Year of Goan Youth, Goa Forward Party chief Vijai Sardesai has said the party will promote, support, and defend our future generation achieve and accomplish their desires and ambitions.
“The Year of Goan Youth 2021 will involve and bring together all Goans to be united as one team to Save Goa Now. As I said earlier on Christmas that we as a society and community must stand united to work towards a 2021 filled with hope. I want all Goemkars to embrace the hope our youth proudly demonstrate and stand firm with them in the midst of challenges we can and shall overcome,” he said.
Sardesai added: “This 2021, we stand with you to overcome misery, to overcome difficulties, to overcome injustice, intolerance and to overcome failure. We together are Team Goa, we together can turn this year into victory, and we together can use Hope to save our beloved Goa.”
Extending his warm New Year wishes to the people of Goa, he said “may we be a Goa ready to reclaim our Hope and reclaim Goa’s Future”.
Saying he do not want to want to go into too many details of the difficulties people faced in 2020, Sardesai, however said, “ we as a community have endured so much starting from COVID-19, to the sale of river Mhadei, the destruction of our environment in Mollem, the insensitivities of offline exams, the risk of our culture being threatened at Old Goa, the shortages of our food of choice, the inconsiderate spending of 100 crores for Liberation Day and the recent government intention to legalize cultivation of cannabis. We have had enough in 2020, and it has been a year of bad luck, but more so a year of bad leadership and governance from the government”.
