GFP’s Mandrem candidate makes development pitch

Deepak Kalangutkar, Mandrem candidate of Goa Forward Party, launched his manifesto which promises the development of his constituency which has been lagging.

Kalangutkar said that people have suggested some developmental projects to be carried out, which will be done once he is elected. “I met people from all nine panchayats and found that we are lagging in development. Hence I will concentrate on overall development,” he added.

Completion of Keri-Terekhol bridge designed to carry water pipeline, multipurpose sports complex in every village, redevelopment of Harmal mini dam which will be of great help to the farmers, 100 per cent internet connectivity,  advanced healthcare and emergency facilities, better facilities for fishermen community are promised in the manifesto.

“Our student community is suffering due to internet issues. We need to resolve such issues to take our youth forward,” he said.

He said that Harmal mini dam developmental work is needed to help farmers from the area. “Farming activities could be encouraged later,” he added.

Kalangutkar also said that health care facilities will be given priority as people are forced to rush to GMC or private hospitals during emergencies.
