The Gomantak Gaud Maratha Samaj (GGMS) has demanded a judicial inquiry into the alleged assault on Ravindra Velip at Sada jail in Vasco.
Condemning the incident, GGMS president Vishwas Gaude said, “It is strange that now even jails are not safe. The attack on Ravindra Velip should be probed thoroughly, and only the judiciary can do it.
The police should nab the assailants of Ravindra Velip and should be punished.”
He has also demanded action against officials at Sada Jail, who failed to provide security to prisoners.
