Goa Going Pink completes maiden edition
PANAJI: The first edition of Goa Going Pink-2016 organised by Miracle Munj and Vasco Sports Club under the aegis of United Sisters' Foundation at Campal, Panjim, saw more than 1200 women participating in the multi-category run of 3 kms, 5 kms and 10 kms run.
Governor Mridula Sinha flagged off the run. SP Priyanka Kashyap, ED Dempo Industries Pallavi Dempo, along with model Milind Soman who is also the founder of Pinkathon and India Going Pink initiative were present.
Goa Going Pink is under the India Going Pink umbrella and is a model run after the popular and successful Pinkathon, India's biggest only women's run conducted across 8 cities. This initiative is undertaken to make women adopt healthier lifestyles, have a positive attitude towards life and prevention of breast cancer. Goa Going Pink received response from corporate sponsors and NGOs like MEP, Amway, Cidade de Goa, GTDC, Air India, Diet DrClinic, Muskan NGO, Innerwheel and Manipal Hospitals.
