Demand essential amenities for its personnel

The Goa Police have expressed their willingness to maintain a 24/7 vigil at the Cujira educational complex as parents are concerned about their children’s safety after the daring crime during the school hours on Wednesday.
SDPO Sudesh Naik stated that they are prepared to post their personnel for students’ safety, subject to suitable infrastructure and essential amenities for operation.
“We are committed to providing round-the-clock security, but we need at least one room equipped with a washroom for our personnel, along with basic amenities. If the educational complex can provide these, we can deploy our staff,” Naik explained, while speaking to The Goan.
Three persons Zakkaullah Kazi, Shoaib Beig, and Xavier Joshua were arrested by the Agassaim Police on Wednesday for attempted murder after Kazi brandished a knife at the Cujira complex, threatening the safety of others.
The altercation, a result of previous enmity, unfolded during the mid-morning school break.
SDPO Naik also mentioned plans to conduct awareness programmes on peer groups if the educational institutions extend invitations for such initiatives.
Quite a few parents raised concerns about the safety of their children, studying in schools and colleges located in the complex. Some even demanded an outpost on the premises.
