Headline: Goa State Co-op Bank holds FLC camp

The Goa State Co-op Bank Ltd through its Financial Literacy Centre (FLC) recently organized its financial literacy camp at Gadevansh Temple Agarshala, Gadekar Bhatle, Pernem.
About 38 people including the members of self help groups (SHG) and individuals from Gadevansh Bhatle, Pernem, attended the camp.
T Geetha, DDM, NABARD, Durga Pednekar, official, Kotak Life, Reshma Gadekar, Suvarna Mayekar, Anita Karambal, AIMS NGO, Sanjiv Lingudkar branch manager, The Goa State Co-op Bank Ltd, Sudesh K Nagvenkar, FLC counsellor, Chandranand Naik (FLC staff), Jaisantosh Mule and Shankar Naik were present.
Sanjiv Lingudkar gave details of SHG, loan schemes of the bank and bank insurance schemes. He called upon people to avail facilities provided by the bank and also urged to use ATM facility.
Sudesh Nagvenkar spoke on the importance of saving money and opening of savings account, reasons for investments and the bank schemes through video clippings. He also explained about social security schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Atal Pension Yojana (APY), Janashree Bima Yojana (JBY) and NRLM schemes for women SHGs.
He called upon people to enroll themselves under PMJJBY, PMSBY and APY. He also informed about different types of accounts, need for savings, why/how to use the services provided by the banks and other issues.
He called upon people to take benefit of the bank schemes to increase their socio-economic status. He also informed the people about the cashless society and about 'Sim Se Pay' by Goa State Co-op Bank Ltd.
Durga Pednekar informed about Kotak Life insurance schemes, while Anita Karambal explained about the NRLM scheme.
T Geetha explained about the SHGs along with NRLM scheme and also informed NABARD schemes for development of people.
Earlier, Chandranand Naik welcomed the gathering and also proposed vote of thanks.
