Gaude was addressing a gathering after inaugurating the first anniversary celebrations of Dinanath Dalal Memorial Art Education Center of Bambolkar’s art gallery. Artiste Shreedhar Kamat Bambolkar, noted businessman Sandeep Nigalye and Ramkrishna Nayak were present at the event.
“My department is very keen to launch art exchange programmes with these seven countries and also with other states. The first inter-state programme will start from Udaipur in November,” Gaude said.
According to Gaude, such art exchange programmes would give Goan artistes good exposure on art forms of other states and countries.
“Artistes from other states and countries will come here and our artistes will visit those places,” said the minister.
Sandeep Nigalye commended the work of Bambolkar’s art gallery, while painter Girish Gujar, Bazil Mota and Ramchandra Narvekar were felicitated by Gaude on the occasion. Later speaking to The Goan, Gaude said the art exchange programme had been set up with Ukraine, Sri Lanka and five other countries.
