Informing about the MoU, Ramanata Crisna Pai Raikar Education Society Chairman Manguirish Pai Raikar said, “The MoU is aimed at taking advantage of the educational resources available at both institutions to the fullest and providing for the development and expansion of the education sector.”
The objectives of the MoU will focus on exchange of students and development of international mobility agreements, faculty visits and other faculty collaboration, exploration of common research interests, exchange of publications and other materials of common interest, among others.
Cooperative projects under the MoU will also include any of the academic disciplines of both the institutions. The initial areas of cooperation will include student mobility and cooperation concerning internships and professional assignments and exchange of staff and study tours and Joint research.
As far as international internship is concerned, the students of HAS will participate within relevant areas of research in RCPR, preferably with the opportunity to bring in more HAS-specific topics.
Speaking about the benefits of the MoU to RCPR, Raikar informed, “Through the MoU, our students will benefit by way of transfer of advanced knowledge in the field of agriculture, training of our faculty in the modern techniques and new methods of farming, exposure to the new environment and understanding of farm work culture to the students by way of exchange program, undertaking research and development.”
