Goan bank wins laurels
PANAJI: The annual performance awards were presented to the Goa State Co-operative Bank Ltd by the National Federation of State Co-operative Banks Ltd (NAFSCOB).
NAFSCOB has adjudged the Goa State Co-operative Bank Ltd as winner of Special Award in category of group II outreach - Extent of involvement for the year 2013-14 and group VII leadership role of State Co-operative banks for the year 2014-15 under tier II structure.
Avelino MS D'Silva, vice chairman and Premanand V Chawdikar, director, received the awards from Rajya Sabha MP Dr Chandrapal Singh Yadav, president of NCUI and KRIBHCO at the valedictory function on March 21 at New Delhi.
Also present was JL Bancel, chairman, Internation Co-operative Banking Associaltion, ICA - Paris, France.
