Large number of Goans who visited Belagavi city remained stranded in different parts of the city or remained confined to their hotel rooms as the city was out of bounds since Sunday afternoon.

All the main city roads were blocked while the traffic was diverted from the outskirts of the city causing huge inconvenience to Goans.

Meanwhile, highlighting the achievements of Modi government at the Centre Union Home Minister Amit Shah who addressed the pubic rally at the District Stadium near KLE Hospital said that India can become a superpower provided every Indian supports the ‘Atmanirbhar’ program initiated by the BJP Government at the Centre.

He also appealed people to get inoculated with the two indigenized Covid vaccines without fear when their turn comes urging not to get mislead as both the vaccines are safe and effective.

“Complicated and long pending issues like removal of article 370, distribution of gas connection to 13 crore poor households, resolving of the Ramjanmabhoomi issue, curbing the three talaq practice by introducing a law, surgical & air strikes and fortifying India’s borders by the Modi government,” he said adding  what Congress governments couldn’t achieve from Nehru to Manmohan Singh, Modi-led government has achieved within a matter of few years.

Congratulating Karnataka CM B S Yediyurappa for bringing down the Covid growth rate in the state, he termed the combination of PM Modi at the Centre and C Yediyurappa in the state as ‘double engine that would take Karnataka to greater heights”.
