Wembley Hill Ward Councillor Floyd Dias Do Rosario, along with other members of the Goan community in the UK, welcomed Alemao and D’Costa at Heathrow Airport on Thursday.
When contacted, Floyd Dias Do Rosario said the two Congress leaders from Goa would meet Goans for a public meeting at Issorcim, Hounslow West, on Friday from 6 pm to 8 pm.
On July 18, Alemao and D’Costa will address a public meeting co-hosted by Do Rosario at King Edward Park, Old Bowls Green, Wembley between 3.30 pm and 5.30 pm.
“The two leaders will engage in meaningful conversations, discuss community issues, and strengthen the bond between the Goan community,” said Do Rosario.
Floyd Dias do Rosario told The Goan said it was a privilege to welcome Goa’s Opposition Leader Yuri Alemao and Quepem MLA Altone D’Costa to the United Kingdom.
“Their visit is an excellent opportunity to strengthen the relationship between Goa and the Goan diaspora, while celebrating our shared heritage, culture, and values. We wish them both a pleasant, successful, and memorable stay in the UK,” he said.
Alemao and D’Costa will be special guests at the Goa Day festival at Cranford College West London on July 19.
When contacted, Peter Miranda, one of the organisers at the Goa Day festival, said Alemao and D’Costa will address a gathering at the festival.
