Goa-SEIAA to charge Rs 2 lakh for CRZ clearance of jetty, cargo projects

PANAJI
The Goa State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (Goa-SEIAA) has decided to charge administrative-cum-processing fees of Rs 2 lakh issuing clearance under Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) notification for projects like construction of jetties, platform of loading and unloading of cargo, etc.

During its meeting held earlier this month, SEIAA decided to charge Rs 2 lakh as administrative-cum-processing fees from the project proponent seeking prior CRZ.

Earlier in October, the SEIAA had introduced Rs 1.50 lakh as administrative-cum-processing fees for granting CRZ clearance for dry dock and barge repair activities in the State. “The Authority noted that there is no mention of Administrative-cum-processing fees/charges for these projects in the February, 2025 notification issued. After detailed discussion, the Authority decided to charge Rs 2 lakh as fees from the project proponent seeking CRZ clearance and the same be paid before issuing prior EC.”
