Gold ornaments worth Rs 1.5 lakh and cash of Rs 45,000 were stolen from a resort in Ashvem-Mandrem in the wee hours of Wednesday.
According to police reports, Kritika Sharma (24) of Jaipur complained that a burglary took place at a resort near Bhumika temple in Ashvem-Mandrem sometime between 12.20 am and 3 am.
The sliding doors of the rooms which were locked from inside were forcefully opened and gold ornaments worth Rs 1.5 lakh and cash of Rs 45,000 were stolen.
A case under Sections 457, 380 IPC has been registered and Pernem PSI Harish Vaigankar is conducting further investigations.
