Gold worth Rs 1 lakh looted at Ponda
PONDA: Gold ornaments worth Rs 1 lakh were stolen from a house at Shantinagar-Ponda.
According to Ponda Police, Smita Bagkar complained that two persons entered her house on Friday evening and caught hold of her mouth and neck and forcibly snatched her gold mangalsutra, a pair of bangles and one ring, all worth Rs 1 lakh.
The complainant further stated that the accused fled from the spot with the booty.
Ponda Police have registered an offence under Sections 450, 394 r/w 34 of Indian Penal Code and is investigating the case.
