Goods train derailed from Sonalium-Dudhsagar, trains diverted

A wagon of a goods train derailed between Sonalium and Dudhsagar stations in the Hubballi Division today. The incident has led to major disruptions, with several passenger trains being diverted and partially cancelled.


As a result of the derailment, several trains have been affected. The Vasco Da Gama - Hazrat Nizamuddin Express (Train No. 12779), scheduled to depart on September 12, has been diverted via Madgaon, Roha, Panvel, Pune, Daund Chord Line, and Manmad stations. The Shalimar - Vasco Da Gama Express (Train No. 18047) which started its journey on September 10 will be short-terminated at Londa station, leading to partial cancellation of services between Londa and Vasco Da Gama. Additionally, the Vasco Da Gama - Shalimar Express (Train No. 18048) set to commence on September 13, will now start from SSS Hubballi instead of Vasco Da Gama, with partial cancellation between Vasco Da Gama and SSS Hubballi.


In response, food and water have been provided to approximately 1,100 passengers at Londa station. Additionally, 25 buses are being deployed to transport them to their destinations. An accident relief train has been dispatched from Vasco Da Gama to support restoration efforts. Senior railway officials are monitoring the situation and will issue further updates on train services as they become available.
