BICHOLIM: Electronic and other items worth about Rs 1.50 lakh were gutted in a fire at a flat near Muslimwada-Bicholim on Wednesday at about 6.30 pm.
According to Bicholim fire personnel, the flat belonged to Nissar Shaikh, who suffered a loss of Rs 1.50 lakh. The cause of fire was due to overheating of a water heater. Refrigerator, water heater and some other items that were stored above the bathroom were gutted in the fire.
Bicholim firemen team led by LF Rajan Parab, firemen Richard Tirnade, Mahesh Gawas, Manoj Salgaonkar, Sunil Gawas, Anand Shetkar and Shekhar extinguished the fire.
