The Aam Aadmi Party, on Wednesday, accused the government of resorting to unconstitutional attempts to “keep the flock together” without offering anything for the welfare of the common man in the State during Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar’s treatment abroad.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, AAP said that the coalition was held together through offices of profit to the disparate partners thus exposing the complete hollowness in the process of governance.
“The weight of the Chief Minister’s 20 portfolios is too much to bear and hence three ministers are required to carry it. This is something unheard of. There is no trust in any single leader after the CM. The Cabinet Advisory Committee (CAC) will be merely a stamp head without control over the administration which will be run through the chief secretary under the direction of the chief minister as is evident from the CM’s letter to the CS,” AAP Secretary Pradeep Padgaonkar said.
The party called upon the government to learn from Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal who doesn’t have any portfolios and runs an efficient administration that delivers things for the common man with relentless zeal despite all attempts by the centre with the LG to strangulate him.
AAP said that instead of leading delegations with opposition parties to central ministers by cutting short assembly sessions, it would do a lot good if something was done in the interest of the common man.
