The Department is also looking at adopting various measures making it interactive for the common man.
Nonetheless, CCTVs are also likely to be installed in all offices of the department soon as a security measure.
Aiming at streamlining the working in the department, Revenue Minister Rohan Khaunte held a meeting with the collectors of North and South Goa, deputy collectors, mamlatdars and other officials of the department.
Speaking to The Goan, Khaunte said, “The meeting was mainly to streamline the department and measures to be adopted in a bid to make life easy for the common man. For the department to change, we need to introduce
various reforms.”
Speaking further, he said, “Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has already outlined a few things in the budget. To immediately implement some of these, we have shared the model to operate so that people in the system
are equipped with the ideas what we want to flow down the line.
E-district is the software which will take care of the entire e-governance like mutation and various other activities within the ambit of the Revenue department.”
Additionally, Khaunte also said that his department would be one of the first to implement the right to
Time Bound Delivery of Services Act.
Nonetheless, various measures will be adopted by the department like a grievance cell, a kiosk, an e-mail to address grievances of the people.
