In an unusual incident, salaries of the State government’s MTS employees amounting to Rs 1.95 lakh were inadvertently deposited in a wrong bank account in Madhya Pradesh.

Porvorim police have now registered a case against Raju Bhuria of Kukshi-MP on charges of failing to return the amount and for having withdrawn Rs 89,000 from the bank account.

Shreyas De Silva, Under Secretary at the General Administration Department of the Secretariat filed a complaint with the police, stating that the money had been inadvertently deposited by the GAD into the suspect's bank account on July 30 (Rs 1.62 lakh) and July 31, 2025 (Rs 32,895).

After this incident came to light, the complainant and other officers of the bank contacted the bank account holder and requested him to return the money.

Initially, the suspect promised to transfer the money but later withdrew Rs 89,108 from the above amount deposited in his account without honouring his promise.

Upon receiving information about this, De Silva later filed a complaint with the police.
