Replying to a calling attention motion moved jointly by the opposition led by Quepem MLA Chandrakant Kavlekar, Parrikar said that the circular "will be modified to exempt MLAs and MPs."
After disrupting the proceedings in the House on Tuesday, after their adjournment motion was disallowed by the office of the speaker, the opposition moved a calling attention motion besides also accepting the invitation of the Chief Minister to discuss the matter with him in the morning.
Speaking on the motion, Leader of Opposition Chandrakant Kavlekar said that, they had demanded that the circular be revoked only because the concerns of the people were rising by the day and without access to government officials it would be difficult to address these concerns.
"Our demand is that in the future, before taking any such decisions, it would be wise to consult us and take everybody into confidence. It will ensure that in the future, the time of the house is not wasted," Kavlekar said.
In response, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said that he was not averse to amending
