State BJP president Damu Naik on Sunday said the government would take a decision on the controversial Section 39A of the Town and Country Planning Act keeping in mind the interests of the state.
He made the statement when asked whether the government was considering scrapping Section 39A and whether the controversial provision could have a negative impact on the party in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Naik said the government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, has been taking decisions in the interests of the state and its people.
“If any issues come up, including Section 39A, the government will take the right decision keeping in mind the interests of the state and its people,” he added.
