In a major theft reported at the BLS Polymers Ltd warehouse in the Sancoale Industrial Estate, thieves stole 21 metric tonnes of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) granules valued at Rs 24,59,925.
In a complaint, Sudhir Sankarnarayanan, Manager-SCM at BLS Polymers Ltd., said the theft occurred sometime prior to 4 pm on January 14.
Verna Police have registered an offence under Section 305 of BNS and initiated an investigation. PSI Rajdatt Arsekar of Verna Police Station is leading the probe into the matter under the supervision of PI Melson Colaco and guidance of Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
