The construction work of the third Mandovi bridge is complete and the next three days it will undergo tests.
Goa State infrastructure Development Corporation Vice-chairman Sidharth Kuncalienker revealed this in a press conference at the BJP office on Tuesday. Urban Development Minister Milind Naik and Power Minister Nilesh Cabral also addressed the conference.
He informed that around 50 engineers of Larson and Toubro, GSIDC, IIT-Chennai and Goa government are inspecting the work of the bridge, which has incurred a cost of Rs 483 crore for the construction. Kuncalienkar also informed that the work of highway expansion is going on with the sanction of Rs 12,000 crore from the Central government. He criticised the Congress party for misguiding people by making baseless allegations over the bridge. Congress has not done anything in its tenure and now is hindering the development works taken up by the government, alleged Kuncalienker.
