Congress attacks ‘divide and rule’ politics

Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao on Sunday said that Bhrasht Jumala Party has failed in every aspects and administration has collapsed.
Addressing a public meeting at Ambaulim village in support of Guirdolim Congress candidate Sanjay Velip, Yuri said, “BJP is dividing us on religious lines. Our Constitution has given us several rights, but this government is trying to undermine it.”
He said that BJP came to power accusing Congress over corruption. “But today we see this government is encouraging corruption and illegal activities everywhere. Administration has collapsed and even law and order,” he said.
He added: “In BJPs regime their ‘family raj’ is getting work orders of government works. Unemployment is increasing in the State, but government is doing nothing to resolve this issue.”
In his address, Congress candidate Sanjay Velip said there is need to give a clear message that Congress will form the government. “There is need to bring change and we will definitely bring it with your support. Some political parties are trying to misguide people. We need to defeat all their agendas,” he said.
Paroda panch member Shailesh Jotkar said that BJP is doing politics of divide and rule and hence people should be vigilant. Our Congress MLAs are fighting against this politics. We also need to help them and bring good politics,” he said.
