Independent Frank pitches 12-point plan for Velim

Seafarer-turned-Chinchinim Sarpanch Frank Viegas has intensified door-to-door campaign with a 12-point development agenda aimed at strengthening grassroots governance and improving quality of life in Velim.

Contesting as an Independent candidate for the Velim ZP seat, Frank has promised to always support seafarers for their welfare.

Emphasising participatory development, he assured voters that all initiatives would be undertaken in close consultation with village panchayats and local stakeholders.

Intensifying his election campaign by reaching out to residents through an extensive door-to-door outreach across the constituency, Frank has shared his vision for inclusive and sustainable development, while listening to the concerns and aspirations of the people.

The 12-point agenda for Velim ZP constituency includes undertaking developmental works in consultation with village panchayats, providing support to village clubs, associations, farmers’ clubs and self-help groups, besides schools for upgradation of infrastructure.

He has promised to ensure maintenance and repairs of existing developmental infrastructure; strengthening solid waste management systems and promoting cleanliness and organising regular health camps in panchayat areas.

Supporting farmers to bring fallow land back under cultivation; knitting together all self-help groups to enhance coordination and empowerment; extending focused support to the traditional fishing community; renovation and improvement of panchayat ghars within the constituency; development of organised parking zones in all panchayat areas; construction and development of footpaths and walkways for pedestrian safety find a mention in his 12-point development agenda.
