The Guirdolim gram sabha on Sunday resolved to develop the Jitlem spring after obtaining NOC from the local Comunidade body.
At the gram sabha chaired by acting Sarpanch Franky Rodrigues, when the issue of the spring came up for discussion members demanded that the panchayat take up its development and beautification on a priority basis.
The gram sabha asked the the panchayat to write to the local Commundiade seeking NOC to take up the development work of the spring.
Members said the panchayat could also approach the government in
this regard.
The acting sarpanch said the gram sabha has gave its nod for the construction of compound wall and other works such as drainages in survey No 112, where a builder has made around 31 plots.
He informed that the gram sabha has given its NOC for the compound wall which would cover the entire area admeasuring around 16,000 square meters since plots have already been sold to the parties.
After the ordinary gram sabha, the Guirdolim gram sabha held a meeting on environment, wherein Savio Antao and Darwin enlightened the members on issues pertaining to garbage and plastic disposal.
