Guv extends Baisakhi greetings
PANAJI: The Governor Dr Mridula Sinha has extended her warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Goa on the auspicious occasions of ‘Baisakhi’ on April 13.
In her message she said Baisakhi is one of the most important festivals of the Sikhs which is celebrated with great fanfare and gaiety and which has profound religious significance closely connected to the harvesting season of rabi crop, Baisakhi assumes greater dimensions of joy and satisfaction for the people. It should be our earnest endeavor to promote all our traditional festivals like Baisakhi in order to enhance sense of unity and social harmony.
May the celebrations of Baisakhi this year, bring added happiness and prosperity to one and all, the governor added.
