MARGAO: rReacting to reports on the opposition by some villagers and social activists to the barbed wire fencing, Minguel asserted that he has not cut down any casuarina trees, and only bushes were trimmed. Saying that his property was being misused in the absence of any fencing, Minguel said he has left pathway to the beach, adding that he has no plans to carry out any construction, but will only go for coconut plantation.
Have necessary permissions, says owner
The owner of the Betalbatim property, Minguel Rodrigues maintained that he had necessary permissions from the CRZ, Town and country Planning and the Panchayat to carry out barbed wire fencing in his beach property.
