Director of Health Services Dr Geeta Kakodkar on Monday descended at the South Goa district hospital to take stock of the situation arising out of the rising Covid cases in the State.
Though no drill was conducted in the hospital involving the public, the Health Director inspected the facilities in place at the district hospital along with Medical Superintendent Dr Rajendra Borkar on Monday.
Dr Borkar told the media that the Director inspected the facilities at the district hospital to check the preparedness at the premier hospital. “The Health Director visited key areas such as the swab testing centre to check the preparedness in respect of the testing facility,” he said.
He further pointed out that the Director took stock of the situation at the isolation ward, the ventilators and the oxygen supply arrangements.
