Heaps of garbage bags allegedly belonging to a canteen run in the GMC were found dumped at Alto Santa Cruz on Thursday.
In this connection, the Santa Cruz panchayat authorities have filed a complaint with the Old Goa police against unknown persons for dumping garbage in its vicinity.
Speaking to The Goan, Santa Cruz Sarpanch Lawrence Rodrigues informed that on noticing the dumped garbage he along with other panchas went to the site
and found receipts of GMC canteen and slips of patients’ diet. “I have complained to the Old Goa police and sought action against the persons who have dumped the garbage,” said Rodrigues, while condemning such
acts of indiscriminate garbage dumping which is sullying the image of Santa Cruz.
