The Regional Meteorological Centre-Goa has issued a heavy rainfall warning across the State for the next five days.
"In the present conditions, it is expected that the rainfall will continue for next three to four days," the Meteorological Centre has warned.
Several parts of Goa, especially the northern district, experienced heavy showers and thundershowers in the latter half of the day on Sunday. Extremely heavy rainfall is expected across the state on Monday and Tuesday.
The department has asked people in the state to remain vigilant.
The showers are predicted to subside over Wednesday and Thursday with heavy rainfall expected to drench some isolated places in
the state.
