The persistent demands for money and various material gains from Shweta’s parents, who live in Mumbai, continued through her rocky marriage. Following a shocking disclosure of prolonged domestic violence, Panaji Women’s Police Station has booked Bharatiya Janata Party vice president Anil Hoble, his wife Sandhya and son Milind under the dowry prohibition act for demanding and receiving dowry from the daughter-in-law and for various other offences including cruelty towards her, voluntarily causing hurt and criminal intimidation.
