Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to inaugurate the Goa BJP’s new state headquarters during his proposed visit to the State next month, with the party expecting the building to be completed by then.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, BJP State President Damodar (Damu) Naik said Shah is tentatively scheduled to visit Goa on September 6. Another programme is also proposed for September 7, though the itinerary has not yet been finalised.
“The construction of the party’s new headquarters is around 95 per cent complete and is in the final stage. The building is expected to be ready by the time Shah visits Goa. The inauguration is likely to be one of the key events during his proposed visit,” Naik said.
However, he added that the schedule is yet to be confirmed. “Once the programme is finalised, the official details will be announced,” Naik said.
