The fourth edition of the ‘Lex Infinitum 2019’ hosted by VM Salgaocar College Of Law (VMSCL) in collaboration with Global Resolution Organisation (GRO), USA, known as ‘VMSCL “ GRO International Dispute Resolution Competition’ saw a grand inaugural in Raia, Margao, at VM Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education (VMSIIHE). The inaugural witnessed Nilesh Cabral, Minister for Law and Judiciary, Power and Legislative Affairs, Government of Goa as the Chief Guest and Dattaprasad Lawande, Advocate General, Government of Goa as the Guest of Honour.
Cabral imparted words of wisdom to tthe gathering and expressed his support in the coming years for the event, hoping Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) would be able to reduce the work of the Indian courts from being flooded and overburdened.
Principal of VMSCL Prof Dr MRK Prasad in his address note shared the vision of Lex Infinitum and its progress over last three years since 2015. Appraising the alumni and the law students of VMSCL, Dr Prasad said, “the seeds planted by students have strengthened the fabric and the cause of ADR at the National and International level.”
During the course of the programme, the Chief Guest declared the competition officially open and unveiled the trophies.
