The government has decided to hire four new persons for the post of inspectors in the Goa State Horticulture Corporation.
“We want to lay stress on quality and to do that we need more hands. So, we have decided to hire four new inspectors,” said Kiran Kandolkar, Chairman of Goa State Horticulture Corporation.
He said the Corporation has started a new routine to maintain quality, wherein a new form with “very good”, “good”, “average” and “poor” printed on it was produced to every stall owner purchasing goods from the corporation.
“Once the stall owner takes and checks the quality of the goods, he needs to tick mark on the column and sign on it,” the chairman said.
“This way the stall owners cannot blame the Corporation if the products get spoiled with the stall owner,” he added.
He agreed that the system existed even before but that this time it was fine tuned to plug any loop holes.
He further mentioned that the Corporation will convene its next Board of Directors meeting on June 26.
