Hospitality expo to witness attempt at creating Guinness world record

The sixteenth edition of International India Hospitality Expo 2019 will be held from August 1 to 3 at Dr SP Mukherjee Stadium, Bambolim. The expo will witness international food and beverage professionals, wine and beer specialists, tourism and lifestyle experts, organic food producers and a number of other stakeholders.

The star attraction of the event will be an attempt to create a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest bread pudding on August 2 at 5 pm. The bread budding will be 1,000 kg in weight and it will be baked in an oven specially fabricated for the world record.

Two Guinness World Records were created earlier at International India Hospitality Expo at its previous editions “ first in 2017 for the World’s Largest Fish Patty and then second in 2018 for the World’s Largest Choco Mud Pie.

Joseph Dias, chairman, Trinity Group, organisers of 16th International India Hospitality Expo 2019, said, “The expo will bring together people with world-class expertise. We will also honour local talent in food and beverages from across India, international and Goa.”

16th International India Hospitality Expo 2019 will see the presence of a number of noted personalities like India’s acclaimed celebrity chef Hemant Oberoi, Fratelli Wines ambassador Craig Wedge and world record winners mixologists Pankaj and Sachin.

Another interesting feature of the event will be a ‘Bar Award Night’, which will see nominated bars competing in ten categories. Then, there will be master classes in new trends in culinary, housekeeping, decor, technology and of every other aspect of hospitality.

There will also be a culinary challenge for all the catering and hospitality colleges of Goa. The colleges will compete to create a dish of their choice and they will be provided all sorts of ingredients to do so.
